Il a reçu la première wild card de l'ATP 500. Wawrinka, Nishikori et Raonic seront également présents.

"Please refer to Appendix C for Wild Card restrictions as applicable under the
Age Eligibility Rule. Players who are not subject to the Age Eligibility Rule
may receive during a calendar year a maximum number of:
1. six (6) wild cards into Singles events"

Ce sera la 8e pour Del Potro. Mais bon.
J'espère qu'il ira jusqu'au bout :)
Rarement les WC auront été aussi utiles et efficaces pourtant ^^
déjà que je le sens bien gagner stockholm *__*

Seul le rulebook de l'ATP 2016 peut ici s'appliquer ^^
Et voici l'article de l'ATP en question :
"Players may accept up to five (5) main draw singles wild cards into ATP
World Tour tournaments during any ATP Circuit Year. Wild cards shall only count
toward the annual limit if the player would have been a direct acceptance on the
original acceptance list. Additional exceptions are outlined below.
a) Players who cannot participate in ATP World Tour tournaments and ATP
Challenger Tour tournaments for six (6) months because of a physical injury
may petition the ATP for one additional wild card."
Donc à priori pour DelPo, la limite est de 5+1 = 6 WC ...
SAUF QUE NON ! :p
==> "b) In the event that a player’s position in the Emirates ATP Rankings is insufficient
to make him a direct acceptance on the forty-two (42) day acceptance
list, then he shall be released from his commitment to that tournament, unless
offered a wild card to the contract tournament within twenty-four (24) hours of
the entry deadline. [b]Such wild card accepted by a player shall not count in the
player’s annual limitation of five (5) wild cards in singles.[/b]"
Si je comprends bien cette règle plus qu'ambiguë, il n'y a donc absolument aucune limitation de Wild-Cards en ATP hahaha :D
Nike et IMG ont une énooooorme influence sur la distribution des WC.
